Party Theme ?? It's a
big question.
Do I go the whole way with a theme or
not?
Who the party is for will go a long way to working that one
out. If it is for yourself it may be easier to determine.
The big resistance felt to having a theme
for yourself is never any where near the level of doing it for someone
else. There is so much more riding on it when you deliver it for another
person.
It starts with an Idea..
What of ideas I hear you ask...visit the
Birthday Themes
vs. Ideas for my take on it.
In a nutshell: Idea first then
Theme. Think of the ideas as elements or the gift, and the theme as the
wrapping. It can be wrapped in many ways but essentially it's the same gift!
People will remember the gift first and the wrapping second.
Does this mean you can't start with a birthday theme in mind?
Of course not!
Theme away. There is only one problem I see time and time again. Once the
theme is chosen the usual next step is to think of all the ideas we can do to
make the theme better or more real and authentic.
Can you see the concern? That's right. Where do I stop with ideas? When is
enough enough?
Reversing this by starting with a few good ideas and then wrapping them with a
birthday party theme concept makes the process easier to plan and deliver. Most
ideas can be modifies or adapted to fit in with a theme
Birthday Theme Generator (BTG)
Certain themes will be universal,
others seasonal and still others will have a very short shelf life.
My goal here is to provide content and shape to the most popular
birthday party themes for different age groups and situations.
There is a lot of cross referencing between themes and ideas. The two go
together like Torvil and Dean; Bert and Ernie, Peanut Butter and Jelly; Night
and Day...I think you've got it!
As the site grows so to will the
offerings here.
Simply click your way to your
theme
of interest and go for it.
[Under construction - the BTG will be
posted here shortly. Please return.] |
